The brainchild of Tim Bacon, an actor who at the time was 'resting' between work, The Living Room is a chain of modern bars with live music that are staffed by 'resting' actors. Serving a variety of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails as well as a variety of dishes (complete with kids menu), this chain proves popular with all who frequent it. This branch has live music. They also have a baby grand piano and play Jazz and Blues music. Food is served all day and they have a special brunch menu on Sundays. Catering for private parties is available upon request. Went on a Friday night and had a quick drink before heading downstairs to their private dining room... upstairs was surprisingly ok for a Friday night on (nearly) Upper Street - got to the bar, got a drink pretty quick and found a decent place to stand without getting elbowed! Downstairs their perfect private dining room was nicely tucked away from any crowds with a capacity for dinner of about 25 or so.. you get to choose your own music, can decorate as you please, etc.. etc.. Although it is a chain, I was impressed by the place and would definitely return when next in the area
