You're never in any doubt that is an independent pub, the staff and atmosphere are distinctive, friendly, and competent. Prices are little off-putting, but not ludicrous. Very cosy place, recommended.

great food. great atmosphere. not the cheapest but worth the extra. always been one of favourites particularly in winter. feels really cosy.
