One of my favourite pubs in the Marylebone area and one that I make sure I visit each time i'm in the area; not for its friendly atmosphere or welcoming smile from the staff (neither of these are present) but because it is one of the few real pubs left. It caters for those who want a pint, a read of the paper and the opportunity to reminisce about the good old days of spit and sawdust pubs. Unforetunately in this age of Multi-Screen, Gastro, Plastic pubs these places are often the first to go to the wall. Long may it exist.
