When is place going to open ontime?????
Once inside food ok by as a business the opening times are really adhered to!!!!!! Do not plan your day with the ducks egg as your first visit!!!! Utterly useless!!!!!!

Rude staff and average food. Asked if we could change an item on one of the breakfasts and was told absolutely no, never known this in a caf! Also served lukewarm coffee and got a load of grief from the staff when we asked if we could have another. Hope they enjoy the 50p you saved by not changing that coffee as we won't be coming back. Also eggs are poached using those plastic pouches with a solid yolk, more like a hard boiled egg than a poached egg.

started going to the Duck a year ago when I lived in the area. Now I've moved to Crystal Palace I still make a weekly trip - the breakfasts are that good. Great quality produce. Good portions. tasty alternative options for brunch and lunch. Friendly staff. Go early on sat/sun as its busy.cash only

The Duck egg opened late October 2010 and i have been going since.
The staff are always polite and friendly.
Firstly there coffee is the best in Brixton, illiys
I would also like to say that the standard of food they serve is first class, you can tell as soon as you smell it & see it!

I am hooked, the vibe in the shop is cool and they have some excellent Art work on the wall! I also beleive that it is a family business so there maybe some staying power in this little shop on cold harbour lane. I feel that the Duck Egg Cafe has brought something Brixton needed an outstanding Breakfast Club with great Coffee & jucies with great service accompained by brillant food!
