On my last visit to the Capital a few years ago, I was saddend to see that this absolute gem of a cafe was no longer trading. I had many wonderful times eating with many wonderful people at Andrews and will always treasure those memories

i worked in John Street in 1970/1 and used the then cafe every week day when it was run by Mr Andrew a jovial Italian.

Hi I traveled all the way from New Zealand from the other side of the world to visit Andrews Cafe from a 35 Year absence. It gave me great joy that Andrews was still there and just the same including it's awesome menu, food, service, and tradition.
My wife and I started every day we could with a breakfast at Andrews, I told the staff as soon as I arrived that I had come from the other side of the world to be here.
I did implore never to change this cafe or change anything about it, it is to me a treasure of London.
Can I say something to all the great chefs and cooks of the world and I am a plumber talking here. Something I noticed that was so special for me to see about what I think is a cafe tradition that no one would notice.
Upon finishing a meal the plate is wiped perfectly clean with the last of the toast not a scrap left, eeg yoke, sauce, nothing. You don't see this anywhere, the complete plate clean up. This is a tradition shows the meal enjoyed.
Sincerly from
