My girlfriend got thrown out of here for breastfeeding. There was no one in the place and she'd paid for a drink. When she started breastfeeding the guy behind the counter became really unpleasant telling her she couldn't do that in his coffee shop and demanding she leave. That this is illegal is beside the point. If he wanted her to leave he could have explained his reasoning and asked nicely. Instead he became aggressive, unpleasant and demanding to a woman on her own in a very vulnerable position. Stay classy, Yummy's.

Had a horrible experience at this cafe today. So irritated that I looked it up on the net and decided to write a review and looky here, there is a terrible review posted only yesterday!
I popped in for a coffee on the way to work. Ordered it and went to sit down. The owner calls me back and says I have to pay first. Fair enough. Then he tells me I cannot just buy a coffee and sit down. That's what you do in a cafe, right? Not this one! I was told I could only sit down if I also bought some food, a drink was not sufficient for me take a seat. Errrr....I was completely stunned at this guy's rudeness that I just stared at him blankly for a few seconds. I was being thrown out of his cafe! The cafe is empty. It was raining outside. My wrist is in a cast (I'm recovering from a broken wrist). And this fella tells me, his customer, that I cannot sit down as I have ONLY ordered a coffee and must leave. Astounding. Don't go this horrid place, there are plenty of other small businesses along Brick Lane and Bethnal Green Road that deserve your money! (Craig's review below is shocking too, owner is clearly just a nasty piece of work!)

Great little cafe tucked away on Cheshire Street, just off Brick Lane. I'm not a London local at all, but the service we received was fantastic; friendly, inquisitive staff; great levels of banter and most importantly, brilliant food.
Highly recommended for a lovely lunch or breakfast (not sure how late it's open to be honest), great value and top marks on all levels.
I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in London.
