To be more candid about it, I was assigned a less experienced Junior Stylist. How did I know? He volunteered the information himself - he's only been here for 4 months. Granting that he could be an experienced hire, his work & approach showed otherwise - tentative, quite slow and no inputs or suggestions. My prepaid package was supposed to be for a £280 value for 3 visits. Assuming that the most expensive options and a Senior Stylist was availed of, the total of the services is at £220-250. HOWEVER, given that they've provided me a Junior Stylist, the sum is at £173-201 only. It’s also possible that the published menu price list is not updated. If the consultations and other insightful tips and “education” promised in the package were provided, I could probably let all of these pass. Overall, based on my personal experience, Hairbase is an ‘okay’ salon, service was friendly but not personalised. Passable, but not the salon that I will highly recommend to friends.

Great place to get your hair cut, Luigi was awesome! Especially since it took four hours to sort my hair out, it looks so unique and the highlights are beautiful now. It took ages as my hair has had henna on it and that complicated things, despite Luigi taking a test strand earlier.
Yet I was impressed with his perseverance and willingness to continue, despite the odds and the fact that some of the highlights took ages to take properly to my hair! Thanks Luigi and team for a wonderful experience and your patience. I'll be back!"

I hate hairdressers!!! Then I found Tina at Hairbase....I had decided to go from blonde back to brown and was very apprehensive. Tina listened to what I wanted, advised me on what would be best for my hair and made a very nervous situation more relaxing. I was in the salon for 3 and a half hours whilst Tina perfected my hair as I listening to great music!
I will be back in 5 weeks for my 'nothing' trim - thank you!

Hairbase is the first salon I've visited when I moved to London back in 2012. I got my hair done by Tina, nicer than it's ever been done before. On top of that, I'm allergic to PPD (I.e. Most hair dyes). Tina listened to my needs and arranged for the colour I can use to be there for my appointment. The result was fabulous. Now it's 2015 and I've not visited another hair dresser since. Also, always leave the salon feeling beautiful and energised - great staff and atmosphere!

Tina is a fab hairdresser and I highly recommend her. She always listens to what I want and also makes good suggestions. She has done my hair for more than 2 years now and I have always been happy with the colour and cut. Also, the salon has a very friendly atmosphere!

Go to Tina!! She understood exactly what I wanted with my hair and did it perfectly. I'll never go to another hairdresser. I promise, she is the best.

The salon is fun and vibrant. Tina is a fantastic stylist who has given me the confidence to be more experimental with my hair. The loose perm lastest for ages - over 4 months and the cut was fabulous. Excellent salon and stylist - would recommend.

Lovely little salon in Chapel Market, happy atmosphere with bubbly people. Matthew is amazing and realistic with what you want. You get what you pay for. Reluctant to go anywhere else. :)

The number of times I've had to find a new hairdresser is ridiculous! But since trying this salon out I've been back about 5 time to get my hair highlighted and cut and don't plan on finding a new one any time soon. Matthew does my hair and is great!

Been going to Hairbase for ages now. My hairdresser Michael is brilliant at making me feel comfortable and special. He listens to me with interest, and I feel like I have his full attention. He remembers bits and bobs of what I’ve said before, and so I always ask for the same hairdresser every time.
