I went here as I had 50% discount and badly needed to get a haircut before my graduation. I had Ana and she was fantastic! I wanted a long-ish graduated bob ala Keira Knightley that I could still wear naturally wavy. The cut was great and has held up really well plus I have let it dry naturally and it looked beautifully wavy and full of body which is what I wanted. My only gripe is that even with the discount it was £38 - sadly at full price it would be a little out of my budget for regular cuts but I would come back for a special occasion or re-style.

The staff were welcoming, my stylist who hailed from Bulgaria was pleasant end did a very nice job, the only gripe would be with the receptionist who forgot that I had asked them about the 50 % discount for first time customers. Overall though an excellent experience.

My husband was sold a Privilege Pass for Rush, entitling me to 3 separate appointments; one for a cut and blow dry, one for a colour treatment and one for a blow dry (all with a variety of optional add-ons). When I read all the reviews online I was horrified and thought he had been flogged a dodgy deal for treatments with student stylists (who by all accounts, from the reviews, didn’t know what they were doing). I smiled sweetly, thanked him for the ‘treat’ and with some trepidation made the appointment. Because of the reviews I asked if the appointment was with a trainee and I was told that it was with Ana one of the salon’s directors.
Ana is from Poland, by way of Italy, and a very nice, professional and competent stylist. Again, because of the reviews I went with quite firm views of what I would and wouldn’t let them do but I needn’t have worried. Ana was very friendly, listened well and gave me exactly what I wanted. I am in my mid 30’s, a full time working mum to 2 young children and I am not adventurous with my hair, nor do I have much time to style it on a daily basis. Ana seemed to take this all into consideration and was happy to give me ‘bog standard’ long layered cut rather than trying to do something more edgy.
I have booked a second appointment for a permanent tint that will be with Ana, and I am looking forward to going back.
There were certainly some trainees working in the salon, one of which had very poor English and the guy having his hair cut didn’t seem overly confident with it all, but in my case my reservations were unfounded. Also, not everyone working there was as well presented as Ana and it doesn’t really inspire confidence when your stylist doesn’t look as if they have a clue about how to style themselves. My recommendation is that when booking you confirm what the experience/grade of the stylist will be.

I had my hair done at Rush at Kings Cross styled by Frankie. He was courteous, an absolutely amazing stylist and very friendly. I will definitely be returning and will be recommending him to all of my friends. Apparently he is a new stylist there so things are definitely on the up!

This place is a total con with in experiened stylists. They charged my male friend(who is Spanish and doesn't speak very good English) £33 for literally a short back and sides!! That took 5 mins. And they failed to inform him of the 50% off offer they have running. An absolute rip off, don't waste your time or money at rush
