If any of you out there, particularly in North and East London,are looking to start up your own business but need expert help and advice, then the place to turn to is Hackney Business Venture. They run a series of informative and cosy workshops/seminars in their building on Dalston Lane,which come round on a loop about five times a year(but book early as they quickly fill up) and have outside input as well from Barclays and HMRC,with lots of follow up help in the guise of funding, advice, counselling and more available.There is a wide range of literature to take away for future reference as well, on attendance at the seminars/workshop, and on every topic a would-be entrepreneur is likely to encounter- bookkeeping, funding,taxation, V.A.T, employer/employee issues, etc, etc. Well worth your time!
