Pierce Brosnan Slams Bond Producers

The former 007 agent has slammed decisions to shun Ewan McGregor as the next Bond.

Ewan McGregor has been turned down for the for the role of James Bond on account of his height, it was recently reported. Pierce Brosnan, the former 007 agent who stands at 6ft 1inches, says that this is a ridiculous reason and that he cannot believe that bosses have turned him down for this reason. He stated, “Ewan’s a fine actor and he’s tall anyway. I couldn’t believe it."

Others rumoured to have been considered for the role are Clive Owen, Daniel Craig, Hugh Jackman and Eric Bana. With filming due to start in the next 12 week and no Bond in place, executives must be getting at least slightly desperate. Who knows, we may even see Pierce Brosnan himself, now 52 and the fifth actor to play the hero returning to ‘die another day’!
