I have been to Il corallo a few times now and have to stay this is an unpretentious restaurant with unpretentious cuisine. Presentation is OK but the taste of what you have in your plate is just rustic, tasty and packed with taste. I like italian restaurants when the staff is actually italian.... and this restaurant is 100% italian throughout.
I recommend Il corrallo. Try the sardines, the squid, or the vongole...that's what you want from this restaurant. Kids will be happy and your banker's too.

My wife and I had the misfortune of chossing Il Corallo for dinner one night. We have always wanted to visit Sardinia and thought it would ne nice to try Sardinian cuisine, sadly we were very disappointed with what we were given.

The evening started with the waitress offering us an alternative Chianti for the house red, no price difference was stated at the time so we assumed that it must be a minor increase - the wine was 50% more in price and tasted worse than most house wines that I have tasted.

For starters I had the grilled prawns and mushrooms - frozen tastless prawns and tinned mushrooms. My wife had the fresh minestronie which was very nice.

For mains I had the the veal with mushroom sauce. The veal was over cooked and completely drowned in a sickly cream and mushroom sauce about 1/4 deep - I had to clear most of it away to find the veal - again tinned mushrooms.

On the whole a very poor show. We that this is not refective of the cuisine in Sardinia.
