i had your food before but its average but my dad picked up a takeaway last friday its a total different story did you get a chef from india or what because your food is very very good its remind me of home cooked food if you keep up this type of quality food you will be the most successful restaurant in london make sure you stick to the same chef. ricardo

This restaurant under its new management is a hidden gem within Kilburn and West Hampstead. We were so impressed with the food and service there that we booked out the whole restuarant last night for our staff, clients and suppliers. The waiters and chefs excelled themselves and gave a first class dining experience to all our guests and the food is simply exceptional.

They are really trying hard to make this restuarant work and we applaud them. It;s a great liitle restaurant and one of few where you can bring your own wine and beer!

It's really worth a visit and the fish curries are

Since Babur came to West Hampstead it's become our first port of call - for a pleasant evening with a couple of friends, a treat for ourselves when we can't think what to cook, a take-away when we can't tear ourselves away from the TV, and on three or four occasions for afternoon parties, when we've taken the place over! They never fail to make us feel at home and on really bad days they remind us what we like to eat. The Sunday buffet is a bargain.

When I lived in Kilburn for more than a decade, I used to get a delivery at least once a month of their balti butter chicken. It was the single most delicious Indian dish I have ever eaten.

Ordered takaway from Babur. Arrived within 30 minutes with a free beer and poppadoms. They whisked up a chicken tikka sag which is not on the menu - tasted great. Food pretty good (average takeaway standard) and prices on the cheaper side. Overall worth a look in.

a really special evening!
the food was superb, service exceptionally attentive....
treated like long lost old friends not new customers.
the dishes we chose were really good quality, nice and hot and generous portions, very tasty and well presented.
wine good too, good value too!
the only disappointment were the deserts which were average but not home cooked so not really surprising.
i will be going there frequently for dinner in future.
Have your say
