Bacchus Greek Taverna

We often stay in Greece fpr holidays and we also cook greek food in France .
We had a very good dinner in this taverna in London last week .The food was delicious , good Ouzo, good Retsina , good greek coffe , good service . The waiter was efficient and nice .
Only the owner , greek I suppose , was'nt very friendly !
I'll go again !

I've been eating at Bacchus since 1999, and I can say the food and service are consistently excellent. The owner and her staff are very customer oriented, and the restaurant has won numerous awards for Best Greek in London over the last few years. The quality is exemplified by the large number of repeat customers who visit the establishment on a regular basis, when numerous alternatives are available in the immediate area.

Highly recommended. I can only presume the earlier reviewer's experience was an unfortunate exception.

My husband and I recently had dinner at this restaurant as our usual Greek restaurant was fully booked. For lovers of Greek food or any food for that matter please please do not eat here. The food was awful - the worst Greek food I have ever had and tops my list as worst food ever. The tzatziki was bland, my chicken souvlakia cold and tasteless. The restaurant looked a bit tired and need of a serious revamp. On a positive note my husband said his prawns were ok. I would rate the overall experience a 4 out of 10. Just goes to show that because a restaurant is in a good area it does not mean that you are guaranteed a good meal. Oh the wine list was good!
