Had dinner with 4 friends here last night on the recommendation of another friend. The place was pretty quiet which was surprising given the quality of the food and the extremely reasonable prices. Food was simply presented but all of it from the bruscetta, deep fried squid, pasta, pizza and pollo were cooked to perfection and very tasty. We had heaps of food and drink and it ended up at only £20 per person. Will definitley be recommeding this to others and coming back here again. Excellent place for a catch-up with mates!

3 friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across Cafe Journal. What a wonderful surprise to find a lovely outdoor eating area at the back of the restaurant. We were made extremely welcome by the staff. The food, wine and service were superb and at an extremely reasonable price. Nothing was too much trouble and we left reluctantly at gone midnight. Have already recommended to others and will definitely return - soon!
