I really love this restaurant, my favorite Indian in London by far, a grat stop over if you are in the area or before the trycicle theatre or cinema, go and enjoy , great selection of very authentic starters that you may never have seen before, ask the waiters for help

I have been going to this restaurant for 25 years.
The staff and starters are the making of it.
Over - order these and go light on the main courses is my advice. Don't just order your standards or you miss the pleasure of the place.
The prices have increased recently.
Safe southern indian food, reliably produced.

Been going to Vijays for many years and the food and the service has always been excellant. I go there because the food is freshly made, the staff really try to please and there is consistancy. No one's prefect, but these guys know what they're doing.

Had a takeaway yesterday. First they got the order wrong a few times and then it wasn't very nice. Bitter aubergine, fatty lamb and salty chicken and spinach. Will be giving this place a miss from now on!

Had delivery service, they forgot some food after spending £100 on it and did nothign about it, refused to replace and told us to double check, feeding 9 people it is easy to spot whose dish is missing, yet this meant noghitn to them, refused a refund or a replacement dish

Theft in other words.

The food at Vijays has always been excellent. They take such care in what they serve to their customers. The waiters are very friendly and very engaging, and always try to make your time there a pleasant experience. Every time I eat at Vijays I am glad I have done so. I would recommend it to anyone.

Vijay's is an excellent Indian Restaurant. The food is of high quality, South Indian cuisine being its speciality. I can recommend the chutney's served ith pappadums, their range of starters and their range of vegetarian dishes. The service is very pleasant and their prices are competitive with other restaurants of this kind in this area. You can go to this restaurant with confidence of having an enjoyable, reasonably priced meal...and The Cobra is well chilled!!!

I have only been here a few times and mostly when the nearby Geeta has been closed.

It has had a lot of publicity and seems a little tired. The service is quite professional but the food is only rather average and the prices quite high. It would seem the prices have been hiked up as a result of the good reviews for the food, more I think for the style than the actual cooking!

Whilst its an enjoyable meal and much more professional than the Geeta the prices are almost 50% higher and I have come out feeling that I have rather overpaid for an average meal in a cheaper area of town.

Its a good meal but it just seems rather overpriced and the service is a bit below par.
