About Axis Restaurant & Bar
Axis at One Aldwych has a stylish design and exciting Modern British menus. Tony Fleming, our Executive Chef, has created a fantastic menu inspired by the best seasonal ingredients with dishes such as; 'Smoked ham hock and English pea soup', 'Grilled wood pigeon with wilted cos lettuce, broad beans, courgette, thyme balsamic and lemon oil' and 'Braised beef Bourguignon in red wine with mashed potatoes and red wine sauce'.
Rotunda Bar
Enjoy a varied selection of wines by the glass and delicious cocktails in the Rotunda Bar with some tasty bar food including potted shrimps with sourdough and Yorkshire pudding with mash and Old Spot sausages.
Axis Gallery
The Axis Gallery offers a semi-private space overlooking the striking restaurant. The gallery can accommodate up to 18 for lunch or dinner and up to 30 people for a receptions.

Didn't have a booking and needed to eat before the theatre - we found Axis - hadn't heard of it before. The potato and fennel soup was really good and the haddock and colcannon just as I like it. My partner had the lamb and sweetbreads. My sort of food really, well cooked and nicely presented, good wine list if a little pricy but I suppose you have to pay for quality and location.
