Went to Cafe Rouge for my birthday. We were given menus and then the waiter left us without offering a drink first. He then finished his shift after I witnessed him having an argument with the waitress. It was not very busy but the restaurant was definately understaffed. I order pate with bread which came pretty much straight away. My boyfriend ordered just a basket of mixed bread which they had forgotten! Our main course took 45 mins to come out after we complained about the wait. My dish came out, my fish was cold and presentation was just awful, which was poor value for £11.95. I asked the waitress to take it away which she did and then just came back and agreed it was cold. I would never go there again. It ruined by birthday!!!

Lovely restaurant, good food and wine list etc. Not spectacular though
