Visited last night before a gig (Chickenfoot). Glad we did, the food was fantastie and so was the service. The Jamaican Chicken Curry was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again!

I must say that the starters at Bamboula were very good (particularly the plantain ring). The main meal on the other hand was mediocre as was the service. Unfortunately, I do not think I will go again. The restaurant closes at 11 and at around 10 to 11 they were already cleaning up and assembling the tables, none of the people in my party felt comfortable, they were basically kicking us out. In fact, at around 11:02 the manager came to tell us that they were closed (she effectively shouted this at us). In addition, the restaurant was understaffed with only one waitress who had clearly had a bad day, not only was she rude, she also served us the mains with no cutlery and we had to go and ask for some....Pity as I think the restaurant has potential.

The service unfortunatley was terrible very slow obviously understaffed. Myself and a friend order the goat curry which consisted of basically just bones and fat! was unedible. My friend who was on holiday from oz did want dessert but when we waited 20min to have our table cleared then another 10 decided not to bother. The Jamacian Rum was warm and tasted like cordial. Unfortunatley not the best saturday night dining experience and definitley disapointing for my overseas friend.

Fantastic food - relaxed service and great decor. nice all round. More choice on the eat in than the take-away.

jerk chicken and oxtail and butter beans was great. blue mountain coffee was a big disappointment though as it was actually instant nescafe toted as such.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the food was very good as was the service. The staff were pleasant and helpful. My only disappointments were that there was no coconut ice cream when I visited and my friend's coffee arrived lukewarm.

Great unassuming little spot, food is delicious (and quickly served), nice size portions (not too big or too little), basic but healthy, light. Prices very reasonable too. Recommended.
