We booked for a large party at the end of October 2010. Over half the group ordered the set mezze and ate what we thought was the first round only to discover it was actually the whole meal. This is the first time I have ordered mezze and been hungry at the end of it... we were also certain that two of the dishes ordered hadn't actually been brought to the table. The waiter argued with 8 people telling him that none of us had seen any chicken - he refused to accept this was true because the chef confirmed it had been sent up. A separate dish (not part of the set menu) was completely forgotten which he agreed to remove from the bill. They did give us some extra wine but then held us up from leaving because we deducted the automatic service charge from the final bill.
He also told us that the bowls of food we got were each supposed to be shared between 4 people when we could clearly see from the tables around us that diners in groups of 2 were being given the same portions.
It might be OK for small groups and couples but I will not be going back after this disappointing experience. The only reason I have even given this place 2 stars is because the measly portion of food I did get, tasted quite nice.

Decor/place was nice but bad service.
Went there for valentines set menu and had to ask for the menu, drinks and bill.
The food was fairly good except for the dessert, respberry creme burlee. It did not look like creme burlee or did it tsste like creme burlee. The waiter didnt even recognise it of the menu.
The waiter then also avoided our table becuase she was to imbarrassed to collect the dessert, which was pretty much untouched.
To top it off, we had paid a deposit for the table being valentines day and they had lost the deposit. Took 30mins to find out it had gone to one of the other Gallipoli's restaurants.
Wont be going back...

Service was terrible. When my friends and I complained to the manager he really did not seem to care. Food was below average, there are much better Turkish restaurants. The only good this was that the prices were good, mind you i cant imagine paying anything more for such bad service.
All in all I dont think that i will return.

Four of us ate at Gallipoli Bazaar last night. Bascially, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the borek to start, followed by the incik. Both were excellent. However, the staff were both rude and disrespectful. When placing the dishes on the table one waiter told another that one of the dishes was for 'the old woman' when referring to one of our party in her thirties. This follows on from a previous meal in the main Gallipoli restaurant last year when two male friends had their sexuality debated (in Turkish) by the wait staff in downtime between serving. For some reason they think all of the customers don't speak Turkish? We won't return.

I had booked a table for 4 for 9:15. We arrived early, but a very good table was ready for us. The restaurant was slightly cramped but had loads of atmosphere. Our waiter was charming and couldn't do enough for us - even explained how to make one of their homemade desserts!
Food and wine were excellent - especially the mixed Meze starter - plenty to share for all of us. I don't think they believe in small portions! The music was quite loud - but we were still able to talk easily. At the end of the evening the bill was very reasonable. We will certainly return!

We booked a table at 9:00pm and arrived on time. The table was not ready until 9:25pm. Then the music was so loud that we could not even talk. The food was OK but the service was second rate. I dont recommend this place at all. You can find other places with the same food and better service!

Maybe the cosiest restau-bar in Upper Street, if a bit claustrophobic. We went there on a weekday evening on which it was fairly busy. Food is good and served until 22.00 PM. You must definitely try the house-made tea. Shisha is also available. Prices are average and there is a service charge of 12.5%.
