This family-run Indian restaurant has a Michelin star, and Vineet Bhatia was the first Indian chef in the UK to receive the award. Rasoi, which means “kitchen” in Hindi, occupies an elegant period townhouse in Chelsea, and to enter diners have to ring a doorbell. Inside the décor is rich and opulent, with intricately patterned carpets and beautiful furniture.
The menus are modern and are not afraid to fuse typical Indian flavours with ingredients from around the world like foie gras and shiitake mushrooms. Experimentation is key, but without losing track of tradition.
