I like the whole sitting in someone's front room and your gran's crockery vibe. It make for an authentic and homeley curry experience.
However, the poppadums were just as stale as the surroundings and tasted like they were cooked from the night before. And at £2.40 for 2 poppadums, they aren't cheap.
The cobra was of good quality and were priced at £4.50 for a pint which I would also say is a little on the expensive side.
For mains we had lamb korai and chicken tikka masala with rice and naans. The mains were tasty and the naans nice and soft.
Overall for 3 mains, 2 rice, 2 naans, 2 popadums and 3 beers, we paid £46. If I'm honest I probably wouldn't suggest going there again, but at the same time I wouldn't actively avoid it if someone was having a do there.
