The restaurant looks cosy and inviting from the outside and you expect you are in for a treat of good Spanish home cooking. unfortunately not, and disappointment is worsened by the extortionate bill which would have covered a good meal in a nice restaurant.

Poor service and expense food, but poorly prepared. I do not recommend the tomato salad, which cost £5, it was half a pale tesco value tomato sliced sprinkled with gritty garlic and roughly chopped brown onion. Not at all the usual tomato salad, nor as was described in the menu.

Not recommended.

Out of all the restaurants in Islington we happened to go into Sangria! Bad choice is an understatement. When we arrived there we're only 3 other couples in the restaurant so it wasn't exactly busy. We ordered A large sangria, breaded chicken breast and a 2 person Paella.

Drinks arrived 25 mins later!!! This was ok however on hindsight the hangover suggest cheapo red was in the mix!! No complimentary bread or anything to ease the waiting. Waited a further 20 mins for chicken breast. This was actually nice, complimented with a garlic mayonnaise.

Now comes the crunch we waited nearly an hour and a half for a burnt paella!!! Very stingy on the ingredients, dry, burned, and well below par. If a Spanish restaurant cannot make a nice paella they should give up the ghost.

Service was also very poor no one asked us once if our food was ok??!!! Come on you're running a business in a high end location your service should match, not juts your prices!!

Overall very disappointing evening couldn't wait to get out of this place. Walking back to the tube station we noticed a heap of nice places we will be trying next.

Don't waste your time or money in this place.

I am spanish and a few weeks ago decided to take my english friends to this restaurant to try some tapas. The waitress who served us was so busy but lovely and very helpful. The food had lots of garlic and some tapas were cold, so we complained to the manager, he was terribly rude with us and also to his staff. we'll never come back again!!!

I went there to celebrate my graduation and relax, well i did the opposite the manager was so stressed out that he was stressing everyone around, he was also treating his staff like Dogs " not other words for it " he was verbal abusing his staff in spanish and i speak spanish so i understood everything :( seriously he should get sacked, i wish i knew who owns this place, After paying £90 bill he wanted us to clear the table to seat other people that came in but we were not even finished... at the end of everything i decided to tell him my experience and he replied very rudely " yeah yeah I know ok bye "

Was so disappointed with this place is it looks really cool from outside.
Dreadful service - miserable, monosyllabic staff who didn't clear the plates away when we'd finished each tapas dish, leaving our table overflowing with plates.
Food was absolutely swimming in grease and far far too salty, which was the only flavour we could detect in our otherwise bland and boring food.
The next day both my partner and I had bad stomach cramps, which could only have been caused by the food we shared here.
Avoid this place like the plague!
