It was a freezing, cold night in London and we were looking forward to eating some good Moroccan food to warm us up.
We hadn't been to Mogador Restaurant before and I doubt that we'll ever go again.
We ordered a pot of Mint Tea, and to eat we ordered a Cous Cous dish and a Lamb Tagine.
The tea was perfect. However, we quickly realised that there was no heating in the restaurant and it felt almost as cold inside as it did outside. Coats and scarves stayed on.
Really, we should have left at that point but we were hungry and decided to stay hoping that the food would make up for it.
Unfortunately, the food disappointed. The Cous Cous was okay, but the Lamb Tagine was smothered with green olives which totally over-powered the flavour of the dish, and there wasn't a chickpea in sight... Not what we had expected.
Overall it was a disappointing experience, for which we wouldn't have wanted to leave a tip, but that wasn't optional as a 15% service was added to the bill.
Wouldn't recommend, but if you have to go then make sure it's on a warm day!
