Cafe Isha

Isha really is a great find and well worth the visit. Their dishes are affordable and original. My partner and I have been here many many times and it never disappoints. You must try their Chicken Rezala curry, very very tasty!

Friends have raved about this restaurant for years, this is my second visit, I tried three different fish dishes and the food was really good, restaurant quiet mid week, service was good, I have no idea what they would be like on a busy night. The interior has recently been revamped and they have taken over a premises next door. It is only 5 to 7 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Tube station along the Roman road. Well worth the visit. The food did not have that off the shelf sauce taste that some Indian restaurant dishes have. Apparently due to immigration restrictions there are problems with sourcing chiefs for curry houses and alike in the UK (See radio 4 archive) . This chief clearly has some secret family recipes up their sleeve and will certainly draw me back again. With the current credit crunch like many people I want to really enjoy a meal when I finally have time and money to get out and about, this was very good value for the quality and pleasure it gave.

It’s like being in morocco or Egypt the magical lighting and the comfortable sofa settings makes you forget you’re in the East End of London. The food is Fab, definitely recommend it.

I went to Cafe Isha for a birthday celebration with about 30 of my friends, I must say we had a smashing time the food was great and the place is breath taking, most of all I felt safe! I recommend this place!!
