I have been eating at Efes for over 45 years when they were originally in Gt Titchfield St. Superb food, excellent and friendly service. I have introduced so many friends to the restaurant who have all loved the restaurant

Seldom are restaurant reviews as divided as those I've seen for Efes 2. We had years of great experiences (birthdays, random Saturday nights) and got to know the owners, which led to even better service. The treble-fillet (lamb, chicken and doner) is to die for.

On the other hand, have seen tables of tourists ignored. We have seen staff carrying a fold up table in the middle of the full restaurant so what looked like a local businessman and his bodyguard could have a prime location. It really depends on who/how assertive you are

Went back today for lunch and the treble fillet still as

Honestly I think people are overreacting, the service is good the food is lovely. It's a turkish restaurant... It's not a palace. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend the doner.

I was there with a few mates of mine we had a great experience, the food was perfect, the belly dancer was

What do people see in this place i do not know. I was there Saturday evening with a few friends at the door they take your coats and take you downstairs where the live music is, after sitting us down we ordered our drinks but had to tell the waiter a hundred times because he had very little English, well nearly all the waiters had limited English. Finally the drinks came then we thought if we had to wait this long for our drinks how long do we have to wait for our food, answer very long. Its all a scheme to make money the restaurant wasn't even busy so they would make us wait so we would buy more drinks and make the palace look a bit busy. The wait was not worth it the starters very basic and for the main course a lump of meat and it was cold, not wanting to complain because i wanted to eat today not tomorrow so i tucked in.My friends ask for lamb he got chicken my other friend asked for no rice got rice it just kept worse and worse. There was no one to help us to talk about what was wrong but not to rude we tried to eat our food but not to successful very hard to swallow rubbish. We spoke to a few people they were on the same boat as us not very happy with anything. When we were leaving getting our coats the boss came to us to say good night we tried to him him what was going on but he was drunk mumbling hes words if the boss doesn't care about the place why should any else and that's whats exactly whats happening here. The only good thing i can say but not that good about this place is the live band (very loud)Please avoid this place as me and my friends and a few others ruined the night for us,all we wanted was to have some fun and eat this place joy killer.

We had the most fabulous New Year's Eve at Efes2. The staff and Kazim could not do enough for our party. Food was perfect even though so busy we got got so much attention. We have booked again for 2 weeks time because we want to see the live music, singers and Belly dancer again. They were fabulous.

Also, so easy to get to by train, just get off and then on again at Great Portland Street Station.

Well I have been there twice in the past year this was to celebrate friends birthday. I think the atmosphere is very welcoming, and as for the service, well I've had worst, but nevertheless it was good enough for me to return. The food was very nice, including the traditional starters and the lovely sparkles they add to the birthday pineapple treat which was wonderful. As for Entertainment well it helps to settle you after your meal.
And I'm also planning to arrange more parties there in the future.
A happy eaters :)

Mr. John - 2 out of 10? Learn how to spell and perhaps people may pay some attention to your opinion. If you cannot spell most WP software will do it for you. I have been to this restaurant several times and never been disappointed. You obviously caught them on a rare off day. I have travelled extensively in Turkey and this place is in my opinion pretty authentic (although Kazan in Pimlico remains my favourite). Oh and by the way Mr. John - not all soup is served hot, especially in warmer climates; have you never savoured the delights of a chilled Gazpacho sir ??? Obviously not.

I was appauled by the service i recieved from this restaurant. Not ONLY did the the waiters try it on with my daughter, but also they were rude, unpleasant and spoke consatntly in their language. The food was burnt and cold. I ordered a soup and when it arrived it was cold. Is soup not meant to be hot???? The entertainment was a little satisfying, but unfortunaity my evening was ruined before it started. I would not reccomend this restaunant!!!!!!!!!
