About Scandinavian Kitchen:Scandinavian Kitchen is London’s first truly Scandinavian deli, coffee shop and grocery store. Serving breakfast with a distinct twist, delicious Smørrebrød - open sandwiches - for lunch and scrumptious pastries, rolls and other goodies at all times, we have set out to introduce the informal Scandinavian cuisine to Londoners and Scandinavian expatriates alike. Conveniently located five minutes walk north of Oxford Circus, we stock around 500 products – fresh, frozen and dry - from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

This is undoubtedly the warmest welcome you'll receive in London (certainly the warmest I've experienced in my 6 years here). All the staff greet you with a Scandinavian smile even on the most grey London day. I've been coming here every weekend since early February and it is definately worth the 1 hour round trip on the bus. The smörgåsbord (open sandwiches) is fresh and fantastic, I recommend the Swedish meatballs with beetroot salad, or one of the herring pots. You cannot fail to leave here without feeling relaxed or having smiled at Sebastian's singing or Henrik's dancing. The shop is full of Scandinavian food goodies is also worth a rummage through, so what are you waiting for?!
