Il Castelletto

We ate at this restaurant last Saturday night and I'm writing this review as I was very disappointed by the lack-lustre food. No herbs or any particular flavouring were discernible in the two dishes we ordered. One of our group ordered chicken with mushroom, onion & pepper sauce. When it came, there a few mushrooms drowned a a tomato sauce which tasted like it came out of a tin. I had chicken also, accompanied by a very bland tomato sauce. Despite the pleasant and efficient service, I would not eat there again.

Stayed in London 05/01/13 and booked a table. Excellent service, excellent food and very good prices. Lovely restaurant with a very nice feel about it. Would recommend and will go back again when in London next.

I lost my wallet recently and with it my card for Il Castelletto. Hence I was checking to see if there was a website to get their number to book a birthday dinner - I cannot believe this lovely restaurant has no reviews. It is small, intimate, with lovely staff, great food and wine reasonably priced. Just the place for a romantic dinner for two or a get together with a group of friends. I have been using it with friends, family and work colleagues for many years and have never been disappointed.
