Have been here several times to eat in and get take-aways quite regularly, as it is just around the corner.
I have had a good experience everytime. The food is excellent, the service is good and you never feel neglected or over looked.
My finance and I are planning to have an engagement party here and have been impressed with how our requirements have been accommodated.
Overall, an excellent little restaurant.

I organise a monthly dads curry club and over the last 2.5 years we have visited many resturants in E London. This is in my top 2. Last Friday 14 of us ate here and had a superb evening, they could not do enough for you. The food was excellent and everyone was very happy with their meals and service

Went there last night and used Taste Card. Phoned to book and was told that as long as we ordered a starter and main course each, it was fine to use card. When we got the bill at the end of our bill, a service charge had been included. When we queried this, they said that because we had used the Taste Card they have ro recoup some of the money back. This was not mentioned on the phone, so we asked them to remove the service charge and we would put our own tips. Reluctantly they eventually agreed to this, but we didn't like their attitude and they didn't even bother to say thanks for our custom or goodnight when we left. We have been loyal customers of Indiana for years and this is the first time we have had this sort of treatment. The Taste Card is not free and the restaurant should not have signed up to this if they are not happy about people using it. The drinks are overpriced in Indiana. I had a white wine and soda spritzer and was charged £5.50p for this. There wasn't much wine in the glass. My friend had a Cobra, which cost £4.45p. Indiana are certainly trying to find other ways of gaining money from their customers, but if they continue to do this, loyal customers will be going elsewhere. There are plenty of nice Indian restaurants in Tower Hamlets and Indiana staff should realise this. The waiter also overheard us talking about the Tale of India and said we should not go there, but to his restaurant. We are really unhappy with their attitude.

Went to this restaurant with my fiancee for a date. We had seen a 50% off deal advertised and so went to take advantage of it. We were seated and offered drinks and then checked whether we could make use of the deal. We were informed that we must book far in advance in order to use the deal (which we had not been aware of). We tried to negotiate but when we were told there was nothing they could do decided to leave. However, when we said this a staff member blocked the door and demanded that we pay for the drinks which we had not touched and threatened to call the police. We did pay but were extremely disappointed by this attitude - it was unacceptable.

I love this restaurant. Excellent value - great food at a great price. They're so friendly and helpful. My other half loves the traditional dishes, but I'm addicted to the tamarind chutney and King Prawn Sizzler Juliet. Well worth going out to Salmon Lane for.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in London. So good that we had our family Christmas Eve dinner there as a seasonal treat. If you want traditional well known Indian dishes, they are superb, but the owners have also included new and innovative dishes too. Generous portions, great quality, friendly service and reasonable prices. The ambiance is great too, with fresh and inviting decor, non-invasive but pleasant music. Really worth going to even if it is slightly off the beaten track.

i live next door and eat here about 3 times a week. the food is delicious. not ridiculously creamy or oily or salty. but very tasty. i find veg curries a good deal: 4.60 for a palak. 7.15 for sizzling chunks of salmon. 3.00 for 3 bbqed prawns. really healthy fresh tasting not at all heavy indian food.

Reasonably priced. They are trying to keep the traditional fodd but also achieving a modern touch to some nice dishes. the garlic mushrooms are a must
