One of my favourite new finds, I had to share with you the joys of Milletré, a delicious destination boutique nestled in Victoria Grove in the heart of Kensington.
Established by Italian sisters Valentina and Silvia Cangiano in 2008, their aim was to showcase the best of Italian fashion and design in London and the boutique boasts an array of both established international brands and emerging design talents whom they nurture with their fashion consultancy and styling service.
Recently voted one of Britain's Best Boutiques by Vogue, the gorgeously glamourous haven is more than just a shop. The sisters are both experienced fashion stylists, and offer personal styling consultations to customers in-store, as well as a styling SOS hotline for fashion emergencies. Clients spending over £1000 get a complimentary at-home service, with advice and professional expertise on how to dress for every occasion and revamp your wardrobe plus private appointments on a Sunday or outside opening hours - no task is too great for Silvia & Valentina, who are clearly very dedicated to their cause and their customers.
They have recently broadened their horizons, dabbling in TV with interviews on both the BBC and Italian channel RAI, plus they have branched into celebrity styling! Stacey Solomon recently visited the store, and the sisters will be styling her for forthcoming public appearances, so keep your eyes peeled for their fabulous outfits on her...
Milletré is a destination with a difference, and definitely worth a visit, you're sure to find a special something from a designer you weren't aware of which is always a thrill. For 2011 they are expanding their offering of designers, as well as opening a new store in Riga in March (book your holiday now...) - items from both stores will also soon be available online at www.milletre.eu, but don't be seduced by the ease of armchair shopping, the boutique is worth the journey!
