With ballet pumps a perennial fashion favourite, the announcement of a new Pretty Ballerinas store opening in Covent Garden this week will undoubtedly be met with squeals of delight!
Set to open on Tuesday (15th) in the newly-revamped St Martin's Courtyard, just off Long Acre, the will decorated in the brand's signature pink, black and gold, alongside the rainbow of colour that is the Spring 2011 collection.
The brand launched their online boutique in 2005 and following an overnight success, not to mention huge demand, stores were opened in Mayfair and Belgravia and now Covent Garden. With over 1,200 styles, some 300,000 pairs are made each year.
The current collection boasts everything from snakeskin to Swarovski crystals, gold glitter to classic Chanel-style quilted pumps. My favourites are the ivory leather Marilyn ballet pump with grosgrain-trimmed rose - gorgeously girly and the perfect pump for summer in the city!
