With THE wedding of the century now a mere 60 hours away, I've been trying to avoid saturating your minds with yet more wedding mumbo jumbo (I'm kind of over it already...) BUT I will eat my words as I have stumbled across a couple of unashamedly wedding-themed treats that are sure to entice the sourest of cynics...
The original British nail bar Nails inc. has created a limited edition range of colours to celebrate the impending nuptials. Inspired of course by Wills and Kate, his is a glossy postbox red while hers is a perfectly polished nude, both are topped with a sprinkling of sparkles inspired by the Union Jack and, of course, THAT sapphire ring. And for the perfect souvenir to remember their big day, there is also the limited edition Royal Collection (£25) with four gorgeously glossy regal shades including Westminster Abbey, Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral. Definitely on one's shopping list. www.nailsinc.com and at Debenhams Oxford Street.
For a scent fit for a princess (and/or bride), Lanvin's Marry Me is a deliciously delicate blend of Tunisian bitter orange, sensuous jasmine, sweet peach and magnolia is the perfect finishing touch. It was love at first sniff (pardon the pun...) and has quickly become my daily scent, a fine mix of fruity and floral, sexy yet girly and oh so right for heading into summer. Available nationwide.
And finally, saving the best for last, comes Tatty Devine's simply fabulous Royal Wedding Cameo collection, for those who wish to immortalise Friday forever with W & K worn on your chest/round your neck/in your ears. The profiles of the couple are captured in pale toffee, and set onto a peach lozenge, then mounted onto matt gold perspex - the effect is that of a gorgeous vintage piece from your Granny's jewellery box, albeit a distinctly 21st century version... Fear not, the two could easily pass for any young couple so it's easy to carry off if you aren't a big fan of the Royals! www.tattydevine.com
