Melvita brings eco beauty to Putney

Love London

Leading French organic beauty brand Melvita have opened a second store in Putney, hot on the heels of the Covent Garden St Martin's Courtyard store which opened in November.

Established in 1983, the brand was founded by a pair of french brothers who developed an interest in beekeeping and wanted to create their own natural and organic beauty products designed for people to use everyday without the need for harsh chemicals. Their first product was the iconic hexagonal soap made with honey from their own hives and the brand was one of the first to gain the ECOCERT certificate for organic products in 2002.

The new store boast over 300 products in its top-to-toe beauty range, where every product is dermatologically tested and certified by ECOCERT. Environmentally friendly materials have been used throughout and a Living Wall feature and a ‘sky’ ceiling bring nature and harmony to the store, a gorgeous design and aesthetic reflecting the environmental philosophy of the brand.

The products are heavenly-scented. My favourite is the Orange Blossom Floral Water (£14). Obtained by distillation of organic Citrus Aurantium flowers, this incredibly refreshing floral water soothes and softens the skin leaving it deliciously refreshed.

The new store can be found at Unit 22,The Exchange Shopping Centre, High Street, Putney, London, SW15 1TW. For more information visit www.uk.melvita.com
