Get an A-List Face with Hydrodermabrasion

Love London

While the oxygen facial seems to still be the hot favourite in Hollywood (Madonna herself is even rumoured to have machines at home in a bid to stay youthful...) London has clearly steamed ahead with proceedings and already taken one step further towards a fresher face. Hydrodermabrasion fuses the healing powers of both water and oxygen to noticeably refine, refresh and reduce wrinkles after just one appointment.

A revolutionary technique that uses a highly pressurised oxygen jet to accelerate sterilised water at a super sonic rate through a hand held fine nozzle, a rapid release of microfine water droplets is created that strike the skin, and effortlessly buff away dead skin cells, improving circulation in an instant and creating a level of humidity ideal for toning skin as well as deeply moisturising the skin.

Whereas the crystals used in traditional microdermabrasion can seem to strip the skin, hydrodermabrasion is even suitable for the most sensitive of faces. Available exclusively at the Hydrohealing clinic in Notting Hill, i recently visited to try it out for myself. Greeted by the wonderful Charlotte, she explained the procedure to me in detail before beginning. The facial began with a wonderful deep cleanse, before the Hydrodermabrasion machine was switched on. It was a slightly odd experience, not unpleasant in the slightest, but being blasted with cold water and air did somewhat give the impression of being on a boat on a rainy day! Ever so slightly ticklish, it was nevertheless extremely therapeutic - so much so I think I actually managed to fall asleep for a minute or two...

My skin was left glowing, tingling with cleanliness and visibly fresher. Upon studying my face in a magnifying mirror post-treatment (obsessive I know, but I just felt the need ok!?) I could definitely see an improvement in the fine lines that have started to develop, in spite drowning myself in eye cream every night.

From £85 for 60 minutes at Hydrohealing, Notting Hill. Visit www.hydrohealing.com for more information or call 020 7727 2570.
