Kids in London - Happy Feet at the Imax

Yesterday I took my nine year old daughter to see the movie "Happy Feet" at the Imax cinema at Waterloo.

We are long term fans of the Imax - it's the biggest screen in Europe with great sounds etc. We saw Polar Express there last year and it also has seasonal favourite of Santa vs The Snowman. Both are ok.

However, Happy Feet was fantastic - the storyline was ok, there were gentle messages about being acceptable to be different and a nod at environmental concerns, some great music - aimed at older parents but just as enjoyable for the youngsters. The two characters voiced by Robin Williams stole the show though - and his humour shone out.

The amazing animations of snow and ice landscapes, underwater chases and thousands of penguins dancing together were stunning on the big screen.

Yep - this was certainly a big hit. And we came out laughing and happy. A great Christmas treat.
