Banish Acne with the new SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Skin Therapy Treatment

Love London

Cosmeceuticals pioneer SkinCeuticals has launched a brand new skin treatment specifically targeted at imperfections and ageing skin. The first of its kind, the SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Skin Therapy Treatment is designed to dramatically improve the appearance of blemished skin and fight lines and wrinkles. Incorporating the new range of Blemish + Age products, featuring a powerful solution of a first-to-market acid combination containing dioic, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and citric acids, these blemish and age-fighting dynamic actives provide targeted modes of action in the skin.

The Blemish + Age Skin Therapy Treatment One is ideal for those with acneic or seborrheic skin. Deep cleansing and exfoliation with Micro Polish (a rich exfoliating scrub with aluminium oxide crystals) are followed by thorough extractions which are disinfected with Blemish + Age Solution and a Clarifying Clay Mask, all to help diminish blemishes, reduce pore size and prevent further breakouts. Whilst the mask dries, the arms, shoulders and décolletage are massaged to release tension and relax the client, followed by light lymphatic drainage movements on the face to decongest, disinfect and brighten the skin.

Blemish + Age Skin Therapy Treatment Two is designed for those suffering from grade IV acne, though it can be performed on I-III acne and grade V with a referral from a dermatologist or GP. In most cases it does not include extractions, although gentle extractions may be carried out on less sever breakouts. The treatment consists of deep cleansing, exfoliation using Retexturing Activator and Gel Peel SM followed by application of the Blemish + Age Defense Serum, all to help diminish blemishes, reduce pore size and prevent further breakouts.

The Vitamin C Firming Mask containing drops of Phloretin CF and Phyto Corrective Gel is then applied and left to dry whilst a massage is conducted on the arms, shoulders and décolletage. The treatment concludes with the application of various SkinCeuticals 'prevent', 'correct' and 'protect' products; those which are prescribed for the individual client.

The facial is recommended to be undertaken as part of a course of six to ten sessions with 10-14 days between each treatment (with no sign of dermal infection, nodules or cysts), combined with a SkinCeuticals at-home skincare regime which includes the new Blemish + Age programme, Phloretin CF, Retinol and Sheer Mineral UV Defense.

Facialist Una Brennan said, "Approximately 40% of my clients suffer from breakouts on a regular basis. These are mostly women in their 30s and 40s who have an additional concern of treating the signs of ageing and who have been struggling to find a way to treat their skin to address both of these issues. I have been thrilled with the fantastic results that I have seen with my clients suffering from all types of serious congestion, regular breakouts or acne, who have been on the SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age facial and home care programme. Every single client who has been on this programmer has seen a marked improvement in terms of breakouts and the overall tone, texture and brightness of their skin. It is wonderful to finally have a way to treat breakouts effectively whilst helping to combat the signs of ageing."

Both facials are available now at Nakehealth in Wimbledon, a SkinCeuticals flagship medispa boasting the latest state-of-the-art treatment facilities and a team of highly experience professionals.
