Ted Baker is delighted to announce the opening of his newly re-located larger store at Bluewater, the leading fashion, leisure and events destination.

Opening on Friday 11th November Ted Baker is to relocate to a 7,000 sq ft unit on Bluewater’s lower Guildhall, representing a significant upsize from its current 3,600 sq ft store.
The Ted Baker store which has been trading successfully for many years is upsizing to capitalise on Bluewater’s strong growth.

The store takes its inspiration from ‘Tedbury’ the fictional Kent village. The village is split into four different ‘shops’ within the four walls of the store; Tailor’s Charms – country pub; Do it your Health – the old apothecary; Well Hung Butchers – the local butchers and Teas Knees – the tea and cake shop.

The ‘Tailor’s Charms’ is decorated with a village noticeboard, beer mats and pint glasses whilst the ‘Do it your Health’ apothecary is brimming with vintage medicine vials. A walk through the ‘Well Hung Butchers’ reveals imitation, cuts of meat, hung on meat hooks and the ‘Teas Knees’ creates a homely feel with china tea sets, tea pots and sweet treats delicately positioned amongst the collections.

Traditional drinks from the Tailor’s Charms, sweet meat canapés from Well Hung Butchers and bespoke branded tea bags from Teas Knees tea shop will be given away as a gift from Ted.

The ‘Tedbury Times’ newspaper, unique to Ted’s Bluewater store will be distributed to commemorate the opening and inform customers about the new store and Ted’s AW11 collections. Traditional newspaper boys will call for passers by to take a copy of the paper from outside the store.

The store provides a quirky backdrop to showcase Ted’s AW11 collections. Ted’s womenswear collection showcases a new breed of key prints: bold orchid and wild blossom bloom over dresses, tops and accessories, chandeliers add vintage glamour, whilst the woodland fairy print brings a whimsical touch to the season. For menswear the collection treads a more rugged path for this season. Tweed, corduroy and twill are all in their element while fur, leather and quilting branch out to provide further textural highlights.
