While I have no idea where the notion of stuffing a sock with presents came from, I do know it's a solid tradition that must always be adhered to. At the age of 26 and 51 weeks, I can still rest assured that come Christmas Eve Mum will have stuffed my stocking (red, with a snowman on it, made by Mum when I was a wee bairn)with treats and goodies.
