So if I had a rich boyfriend/husband (or the finances to treat myself...) there are a few spectacular pieces that would undoubtedly be on my Christmas list this year.

Second on my hitlist is Smythson's Lapis Fashion Diary. Featuring extensive city guides and detailed maps for each fashion capital, in addition to fashion council listings, show dates, national holidays and cultural events, it's the only accessory a self-respecting fashion journalist could need. I secretly hope that one day I will be important enough to require such a journal for flying around the world for fashion weeks. An opulent inky blue printed lizard skin with high gloss finish, the alluring shimmer of the leather is finished with sophisticated, deep blue piping, corresponding blue leather interior and a brushed gold clasp with subtle Smythson logo. Finally, I am all kinds of in love with Miu Miu's incredible spangly sneakers. The glitter! The jewels! Ok they probably aren't practical for British (read rainy) weather, and at £420 they are slightly pricier than your average Converse, but they are undoubtedly a thing of beauty. I think I would put them in a glass box on my coffee table and worship them...
