If the popularity of the last collection was anything to go by, Versace's spring drop won't be around for long when it goes on sale on the H&M website this Thursday.
When Donatella's first capsule collection for the high street giant hit the shelves last year it disappeared within minutes. The next collaboration, a brand new cruise collection, will be available exclusively online. The holiday capsule wardrobe for women and men features perfect summer staples: the women's piece are bright and feminine, featuring an elegant new striped print of berries and butterflies that is used on everything from
dresses to tops, negligees and dressing gowns, and a new classic silk cashmere cardigan. Colours are sumptuous, with dresses in lilac and pink, and there are also white jeans, bikinis, and accessories such as a printed bag, a charm-covered bracelet, and also ballet flats alongside the classic Versace high heels.
The menswear cruise collection is full of wardrobe staples perfect to start a new fashion year. There is a leather-detail black wool blazer, shirts in white or blue, some great jeans and a denim shirt too. For a real holiday touch that also crosses over into fashion, there are pleated shorts in either blue or tobacco cotton, or in classic denim. The feeling is clean, fresh and focused on the cut, with only the classic Versace Grecian motif as bold pattern across T-shirts, swim shorts, a morning robe and a weekend bag.
