It’s no secret that Paul & Joe consistently has some of the cutest packaging in the beauty industry – the gorgeous printed boxes alone are enough to make one not want to use the products inside them, merely arrange them prettily on one’s dressing table. Alas, you would be missing out. Not only is the spring collection more gorgeous than ever, but what’s inside the beautiful boxes doesn’t disappoint either.
In honour of the brand’s 10th anniversary, the new spring collection is inspired by founder and designer Sophie Albou’s love of cats The Face & Eye Colour (£19.50) in three sumptuous shade combinations each include a trio of contrasting textures – matte, pearlescent and shiny – that can be blended onto cheeks or eyes. Siamese, Please…[/]I combines neutral yet elegant bronzes and beiges, [i]Kittycat (pictured) perfectly pairs a matte nude and pearly pink, while Purr-fect features smoky yet subtle ivory and moss… perhaps one to keep to the eyes…
Quirky as ever, this season sexy lips are simple with the paw-printed Paul & Joe Lipstick C (£16). The airy matte finish of the three classic shades gives lips a soft focus look. Try Sex Kitten (pictured), a sexy nude beige, Meow! a sweet natural pink, or Catwalk, a modish coral colour for a glamorous look.
My personal favourite product of the collection has to be the Blusher Stick (£21). An adorable cat-shaped creamy cheek powder in three shades it leaves cheeks with a natural flush and just the right amount of colour. Glamour Puss is a pearlescent beige that instantly highlights and contours cheeks, Minou (pictured) is a romantic and subtle pink, and Catfight a bold and vibrant tangerine. Though it took courage to use as first because I didn’t want to ruin it, the blush stick has now become a daily staple in my make-up bag!
