Last week saw the first press day of British bag brand Zatchels. Established only a year ago, Zatchels was founded by Dean and Brian, owners of a small manufacturing business in Leicester. After creating leather shoes and bags for many years it was easy to branch out into creating Zatchels' product line, and now the bags are a hit with celebrities and savvy shoppers alike across the world.
Keen to promote British manufacturing, every bag in lovingly handmade in Leicester, creating a perfect slice of British fashion. With traditional school satchels, barrel bags and saddle bags, the range will also extend to include a butter-soft leather duffel bag later in the summer.
My pick of the bunch is the deliciously delicate pastel pink saddle pink - perfect for tapping into spring's pastel trend. Available in two sizes, the bag also comes in daffodil yellow, baby blue, grass green, violet and cream.
