Luscious Lashes from Boudoir - Reader Offer!

Love London

I am forever on a quest for the perfect lash extensions and on the recommendation of a very trustworthy beauty-obsessed friend I recently heading to South Kensington to sample the skills of lash specialist Asma Docrat at Becca Boutique.

Situated on the quiet Pelham Street, Becca is a mecca of gorgeous make-up and beauty. Asma, the resident lash guru, uses Boudoir Lashes (www.boudoirlashes.co.uk) individually applied to each lash to add length and volume. 100% waterproof, the lashes can last up to six weeks providing the correct aftercare is followed and fall out with the natural life cycle of your existing lash. You can choose to either have infills every few weeks to fill in the gaps, let them all fall out naturally or visit again to have them professionally removed.

My lower lashes were first taped down and a soothing gel eye pad applied to the undereye, before Asma painstakingly applied the lashes on to mine. It involved lying flat out with my eyes closed (I inevitably fell asleep...) but an hour and a half later I have Disney Princess lashes that Sleeping Beauty would be proud of. Just the right side of big and glamorous, my lashes are long, full and voluminous without being too flash or intense, they look equally perfect with subtle daytime make up as with a full night time smokey eye, and the convenience factor really makes them worth their while - even at the age of 27 I still can't quite manage to curl my lashes the same amount and/or apply mascara properly without getting it A). all over my face or B). clumping together and having to start again!

AFter care is simple and straightforward - no exposure to water, hot showers & steam rooms for 12-24 hours to allow the glue to set. Avoid oily eye creams, moisturisers and cleansers that can break the bonds of the glue, and don't use normal mascara on them - if you can't survive without it you can purchase water-based mascaras that don't damage the lash. The other recommendation is to sleep on your back (especially for the first 24 hours) as sleeping on your side can cause one side to drop and sleeping on your front will crush the lashes - I sleep (of course) on my front so have trained myself out of it for a few weeks!

Nearly two weeks later and my lashes are still going strong. I think I've lost two, which hasn't made any difference at all to the look, and I can't tell you the comments I've had about how natural they look - people seem genuinely astounded when I tell them they aren't my real lashes!

My AllInLondon readers can get 50% off your first set of lash extensions with Asma. Offer valid Monday-Friday only and does not include infills or removal. Simply quote AllInLondon or my name at the time of booking. Terms and conditions apply. Email [email protected] for full information and to book.
