Bésame's Very Vintage Cosmetics

Love London

Fans of the vintage look will be pleased to hear of my latest beauty discovery. Bésame Cosmetics was founded in Los Angeles in 2004 by Gabriela Fernandez , inspired by a combination of her background in art and design, a love for feminine detail, and fond memories of her glamorous grandmother. A recent arrival in the UK, the brand's attention to detail is impeccable. From the art deco inspired packaging designed in house, to the top quality ingredients, Gabriela works closely with a lab in Los Angeles on formulas unique to Bésame, the result being an unrivalled quality packed full of antural ingredients; her mascara is one of the most natural on the market containing only 7 ingredients including cloves, a natural anti bacterial agent.

Bésame's gorgeous cosmetics are now available throughout the UK, including at London based vintage lingerie boutique What Katie Did on Portobello Road - the perfect partnership. Although What Katie Did's products are all own brand, owner Katie loved Bésame so much she made an exception!

The current bestseller is their Cream Rouge (£22), a classic vintage inspired cream rouge like your granny used to wear, just a touch of this weightless concentrated cream will give you a natural flush, beautiful on lips and cheeks, plus it's packaged in the most gorgeous vintage style tin. I'm also loving the Brightening Violet Powder (£22), a translucent loose powder that adds just a hint of brightness for an instant lift to any complexion. It sets make-up beautifully and leaves a soft matte finish without any shimmer, but the unique violet hue in the special formula instantly brightens the skin.

The whole cosmetics collection is available to buy online from www.whatkatiedid.com and from the What Katie Did boutique at 26 Portobello Green, 281 Portobello Road, London, W10 5TZ. For more information on Bésame visit www.besamecosmetics.co.uk
