At the recent Discover Dogs exhibition http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/blogs/showblog.php?post=2605 the Kennel Club released a list of the top breeds based on registrations. There’s some surprises in there although Alfie was relieved to see that long coat Chihuahuas are at number 17 in the charts!

Pug 10. Boxer 11. West Highland White Terrier 12. Chihuahua (Smooth coat) 13. Whippet 14. Yorkshire Terrier 15. Dogue de Bordeaux 16. Dacshund 17. Chihuahua (Long coat) 18. Beagle 19. Border Collie 20. Bull Terrier
But lots of much loved dogs aren’t Kennel Club registered – and many (especially rescue dogs) are of unknown origin. Walking the streets of London I think we should compile an alternative list – what should be in the AIL top 10 dog breed list?
