Beauty Sale Bargains

Love London

Now that Christmas is over and done with, the parties are finished and we have a long, slow trek until summer shows its face, it's the perfect excuse to perk yourself (and your dressing table...) up with some new bargainous beauty buys.

It's always worth searching through the chaff of the sales as you're certain to stumble across some gems; Christmas perfume gift sets for example will have had their prices slashed in the last week, ideal if you got gift vouchers for Christmas and fancy getting a little more bang for your buck. Head to Boots for a wealth of gift sets in their sale, including premium fragrance as well and some of the other great brands they had on board this season, such as Joules or Soap & Glory (it's always worth stocking up on a few cheap presents to use throughout the year while you're there as well...).

One of my favourite brands. Penhaligon's is always worth a look-in in January. The delicious Amaranthine Eau de Parfum, a heady blend of green tea, white freesia, rose, carnation and vanilla is down to just £27, while the Bath & Body Collection of three bath & shower gels and three body lotions, in a beautifully illustrated box, is half price at £22.50. www.penhaligons.com

The ASOS sale might be your first stop for clothes, but be sure to check out their beauty offering as well. With brands such as Paul & Joe, Bliss and Essie on board, there are bargains to be had. The Nails Inc colour collection pictured, containing six full size bottles, is down to just £22.50 and they are the perfect colours to mix and match for spring. The Bliss Foam for the Holidays gift set is also down from £29 to £18, including two skincare products from the blood orange & white pepper range; a luxurious, lathering soap and bath foam that cleanses and conditions the skin with aloe, glycerine and vitamin E and an ultra-moisturising body cream with softening coconut oil, vitamin E and sodium hyaluronate to lock in moisture. www.asos.com

BeautyBay.com is another pit-stop on my bargain beauty tour. A good one to visit if you’re after some new hair products, brands include Frederic Fekkai, Serge Normant and KMS California. The Bedhead Totally Hazed duo is down to £12.79, containsa two of the best-selling lines from Tigi’s Candy Fixations Collection, the Totally Baked whipped styling mousse and glossy Glaze Haze smoothing serum. Two of my favourite hair products of the last year, this duo will leave your hair smelling literally of candy! www.beautybay.com
