I love discovering new brands, but sometimes can't help but be drawn back to old faithfuls I know and love. Chanel, Guerlain and Laura Mercier never fail to create amazing lipsticks, and the below are three of my current faves...
New from the SS13 Chanel collection is the sumptuous Rouge Allure in the beautifully subtle Captivante. A slighty shimmered, luminous satin lip colour in a dusty rose shade, it's an ideal everyday look that adds a sprinkling of glamour without being too showy. £25.
Second up is the slick newby from Guerlain. The packaging of the Rouge Automatique collection is enough to make me want to buy it; encased in a stunning gold bullet-esque case, the lipstick pops up out of a little hatch in the top via a slider, amazingly fun. Ballade is a deliciously juicy coral watermelon shade which will be perfect for my spring wardrobe. £24.50.
Finally Laura Mercier's Crème Smooth Lip Colour is a fail safe classic - every make up bag should have at least one shade. My current pick is Pink Blush, a pale, matte, nude blush ideally worn with flawless skin and a smoky eye. £20 at Space NK.
