This weekend I visited The National Wedding Show with my recently engaged sister. While it was predominantly the predictable scrum of bridezillas hunting bargain dresses, amongst the madness I did miraculously manage to find a veritable gem amongst the haystack of exhibitors.
Dhanya is a newly-launched clutch bag line with a difference. Meaning lucky in Sanskrit, Dhanya's bags transcend high fashion, bridal and evening wear and come in a rainbow of colours.
Created from butter-soft Italian nappa lamb's leather, silk lace is hand-stitched on to the bag in a gorgeous juxtaposition of textures. The only problem you'll have is choosing just one colour.
Dhanya also offers a Bridal Couture service whereby brides-to-be can supply their own lace, to match their wedding dress, which will then be hand-stitched onto the colour leather of their choice in keeping with their wedding theme.
My current favourite is the bronze...and the yellow...and the sea blue for that matter. But the peach one is lovely too...
