With these dreary days finally on their way out and spring hopefully on the horizon, I recently embarked upon something of a style challenge to brighten up my wardrobe and inject a bit of colour into my look for the new season. Now readers, I confess to living in jeans all year round, and I mean all year round. Even in the height of summer they will still be a prevalent look, my uniform if you will. Granted they are chic skinnies, but they are jeans nonetheless.
So for the first episode of my Spring Style Challenge I have decided to try out something new, Bonprix's deliciously flippy cotton skirt (£14.99, www.bonprix.co.uk), the perfect fodder for spring frolics. Though perhaps less well-known in the UK than on the continent the French brand, established in 1986, has made a name for itself with it's affordable fashion.
The weather may still be slightly chilly for this particular ensemble at the moment, but I think it will look amazing with this cropped cami (£32 from www.topshop.com), moleskin-effect 3/4 sleeve navy jacket (£59 from www.marksandspencer.com and set off perfectly with bright orange heels and a so-hip-it-hurts perspex clutch (£29.99 and £19.99 respectively, both www.zara.com.
Keep your eyes peeled for Episode 2 of my Style Challenge, coming soon...
