Discover the Wonder of Wahanda...

Love London

With the hundreds (probably thousands…) of beauty salons across London, you’d be forgiven for having a hard time choosing a good one, which is exactly why any beauty aficionado should have www.wahanda.com permanently bookmarked on your web browser. A comprehensive compendium of spa offers and discounts for the whole of the UK, it’s the online little black book you would be a fool to ignore.

Much more than just a spa directory, that’s nevertheless the first thing I shall mention. From haircuts to waxing, facials to massages, manicures to yoga, the spas and salons on Wahanda are extensive; simply type in what you’re looking for and where and hey presto, a list of the best treatments at the best prices with honest reviews from past customers. The perfect solution for all your beauty needs, it’s like lastminute.com for beauty.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a community page featuring the latest health and beauty news, expert advice, frequently asked questions and plenty of hints and tips.

On my ever-present quest for better skin I recently turned to Wahanda in my time of needs to search for good facials in London, hoping to stumble across a little gem I hadn’t tried before. That’s what it’s particularly useful for – finding local salons that aren’t necessarily the big names we’ve all heard of, but are no less brilliant. After scouring the options I settled on Clinica Fiore, situated on Endell Street in Covent Garden, and their Deep-Cleansing facial; ordered online as an E-Voucher it was delivered straight to my inbox, after which I called the salon to arrange my appointment. Although not all salons participate, there is also a new online booking system whereby you choose your date and time and book everything online at the time of payment.

Being on Endell Street as it is, Clinica Fiore is perhaps one I wouldn’t have stumbled upon without Wahanda, but boy am I glad I did; the treatment portfolio includes everything from waxing and massage to Dermaroller and IPL. My facial was carried out by Senior Therapist Carly, who seriously knows her stuff; after grilling me about my health, diet and lifestyle, there was a thorough cleanse followed by a good old look at my skin to determine what the best treatment and products were. Using products from SkinCeuticals – particularly good for problem skin – I was cleansed, masked and exfoliated, as well as being subjected to some serious extractions (never the most comfortable or pleasant part of a facial but my God are they worth it…). Carly also took the time to talk me through what she was doing and why, explaining her choice of products carefully and giving me a list of recommendations of other products to try that could help my skin. Much as I do like a nice quiet treatment from time to time, when I’m having a facial for a practical reason like improving my acne rather than just for relaxation purposes, it is brilliant when your therapist takes the time to explain the whats and whys. Carly even gave me a few samples of the products she used and left me with her name and number in case I had any other questions or problems – it’s that kind of service and attentiveness that has earnt Clinica Fiore it’s five star reviews. My treatment definitely helped improved my skin, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the clinic, and for that matter Wahanda. Have a look, you might just surprise yourself and stumble across some gems you had no idea existed!
