Audrey Hepburn in Hats

Love London

When I heard there was a new book launching about one of my all-time favourite style icons, I had to know more. With a host of titles already on my bookshelf, I though I'd seen all there was to see about Audrey Hepburn, until now...

Audrey Hepburn in Hats is a new tome from June Marsh, which essentially does what it says on the tin. While there may be a dozen coffee table fashion books about Hepburn's style, this is surprisingly the first to focus or her years of stylish headwear. Including some iconic looks from some of her most famous movies, as well as off-set looks, it features designs from the likes of Givenchy, Dior and Cecil Beaton, including the legendary black and white feathered creation from the Ascot scene of My Fair Lady. Incredible.

The book was launched last month with a celebration at Atelier Millinery, a beautiful millinery boutique in Kingly Court. If you’re inspired by the looks on show in the book, Atelier Millinery runs regular classes to learn the art of hat-making. From making a vintage rosette ribbon headband to a 1920s style cloche hat in a day, the boutique offers a range of workshops for all skill sets.

The book is available now, priced £19.95. For more information on Atelier Millinery or to book a class visit www.ateliermillinery.com
